Meet the Photographer | About Tiffany Lemoine

About the Photographer – The brains behind Ahnvee Photography (& the Camera)

I’ve been putting off the dreaded “About Me” part of the website for quite some time now. Truth is, I hate talking about myself – mostly because I think no one actually cares. So I’ll try to make this as fun an interesting as possible! I ask clients and employees to complete questionnaires to get to know them so I thought, why not do the same for me? Are you ready to get to know the photographer and brains behind Ahnvee Photography?

What’s your spirit animal?

I wanted to be as legit as possible, so I took 3 quizzes I found online and they all produced different results (of course). But, my spirit definitely lives for water.

Dolphin: People who identify with the dolphin spirit animal are usually peaceful and gentle, but with a deep inner strength. Dolphins are both highly intelligent and closely in tune with their instincts.

Seahorse: The symbolic meaning of Seahorse is quite intricate and diverse as this little creature itself is full of surprises. The seahorse is a symbol of friendliness, charisma, and contentment. The eyesight of the seahorse is incredibly sharp, and each eye moves independently, which allows a heightened sense of perception and awareness of what’s around. (Fun fact, I have a kickass seahorse tattoo on my leg.)

Otter: Otters celebrate joy in the simple things, passion for the things that their heart desires, and freedom to do what their instincts are telling them.

I meeeeean, that’s pretty dang spot on.

List three words that best describe your personality:

creative, determined, vigilant
that taurus sun, gemini moon, pisces rising energy

Describe the most amazing adventure in your opinion, if money and time were not an issue.

I have the ahnvee (see what I did there) to combine my love of photography, art, traveling, food, and culture into one, and Anthony Bourdain-ing as an international wedding photographer.

What would you say is your best talent/attribute?

Personally, I think that my best talent is my ability to see beauty in everything, which is truly useful as a creative artist.

Waffles or Pancakes?

Waffles. I like the duality of the crispy exterior of waffles with the softness of the inside. Plus, a food with pockets? No brainer!

What are some of the events in your life that made you who you are?

Becoming a mom is one of the most monumental events in my life. My son is honestly the reason I turned photography into a career and started my business, among other influential aspects that make me the person I am today. Also, therapy.

What’s your favorite holiday and why?

Absolutely 100%, Halloween. I enjoy being creative with costumes and decorations, plus it makes me little dark heart happy.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Recently I’ve been enjoying playing The Sims 4! I spend an embarrassing amount of time designing houses, restaurants, coffee shops, etc, but I rarely actually play the game. It allows me to relax and take a break but still keep my creative juices flowing!

My everyday hobbies are cooking, EATING, painting, makeup, interior decorating, and discovering new music.

I also love all sorts of competitive games including board games (I have an overflowing board game cabinet), tennis, bowling, mini golf, arcade games, and recently Top Golf, lol!

What is your greatest achievement?

Finally being able to take control of my mental health.

Absolute favorite place to shop for clothing?

I get a high from getting a good deal. Therefore I shop at thrift and consignment stores, Ross, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, etc. as well as the clearance sections of all the best stores. But I’ll spend tons of money and hours in Target, and I know ya’ll feel me on this.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.”

What’s your pet peeve?

When people say they dislike something before trying it; preconceived notions.

What do you want to be remembered for?

I hope that I will be remembered for being someone who always tried her best to be her best.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I used to plan a lot for the future, however, I recently realized that doing so only to have those plans not pan out made my anxiety worse and really affected me in a negative way. Now I live day-to-day and I’ve never been happier! So in five years I hope I’m happier than I am today – just living life to the fullest and allowing the universe to guide me where I need to be.

Describe your perfect last meal:

Ok so as a true foodie, this is agonizing to think about….so I’ll just choose one favorite item from all of my favorite cuisines.

Thai: pork pad thai, papaya salad, a perfectly paired cocktail

Korean: the whoooole Korean BBQ experience complete with jjigae and soju

Indian: chicken 65, vindaloo, garlic naan

Mexican: choriqueso + chips, al pastor tacos, spicy mezcal margaritas

Japanese: gyoza, the most Tiff sushi rolls ever, sake

Nostalgia: good gumbo, bread pudding

Describe your biggest strength and weakness:

Strength: I think I have an incredibly strong intuition. I’ve also been told I’m creative and attentive to detail once or twice lol.

Weakness: I expect too much from myself (and sometimes others). I’m also a professional procrastinator

That’s a wrap! My hope is that you had as much fun reading this as I had answering these questions. From all of us here at Ahnvee, I’m Tiffany Lemoine. You stay classy Lafayette!
